About GC x

Built by genetic counselors for the future of the profession, GC x delivers practical, human-centered learning experiences that turn complex innovation into actionable skills.

Our first digital cohort launches in August 2026 with a foundational program for genetic counseling training programs introducing AI integration into existing curricula.

    GC practice, not tech theory

Every lesson is built around real genetic counseling scenarios — variant counseling sessions, prenatal conversations, patient communication, report workflows. If it wouldn't come up in your clinic or your classroom, it's not in the curriculum.

Led by the Profession's Experts on AI

GC x's founders organized the profession's first AI/ML pre-conference symposium, co-chaired NSGC's Genomic Technologies AI/ML SIG, and serve as contributing editors to NSGC's “Perspectives” AI issue. This curriculum was built by the people genetic counselors were already turning to for answers.

    Curriculum that evolves

The AI landscape changes faster than any static course can. GC x curriculum is updated as the tools, evidence, and ethical considerations evolve — so programs that integrate it don't have to rebuild from scratch every year.

Our Story

GC x was founded by genetic counselors working at the intersection of AI, education, and clinical care.

After collaborating on presentations and workshops for genetic counseling programs across the country, our founders saw a growing need for practical, accessible, and human-centered AI education tailored specifically to the realities of genetic counseling.

We created GC x to help the profession build AI fluency with confidence — without losing the core values that make genetic counseling human.

The “x” in GC x represents multiplication:
of confidence, creativity, and possibility across the profession.

Our Team

Together, the GC x founders bring experience across clinical practice, education, leadership, digital innovation, and industry — united by a shared mission to help genetic counselors thrive in a changing world.
